At Oklahoma Citizens for Education, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do — and this month, we’re shining a bright spotlight on one of our most dedicated champions: Lauryn Ansley Spray
Lauryn first joined OCE as a volunteer during our ACT Success Saturdays program. What began as a one-time event quickly became a passionate commitment. With a passion for education and a deep love for her community, Lauryn shows up with a warm smile, a heart full of passion, and the kind of encouragement that makes every student feel like they can conquer the world.
What makes Lauryn special? It’s the way she listens. Whether she’s helping a student calm their nerves or jumping in to help solve problems and conquer fears, she brings heart to every task. Her consistency and kindness remind us that the smallest acts of service often make the biggest difference.
Lauryn’s advice to new volunteers? “Show up just once. You’ll leave with more than you gave.”
We’re so grateful for Lauryn and all our volunteers who turn intention into impact. Want to join her? Learn how you can get involved here!
