Monica Suyo serves on the Board of Directors for Oklahoma Citizens for Education (OCE), bringing more than 15 years of experience in education, curriculum leadership, and student advocacy. A passionate and equity-focused educator, Monica has held key roles across Oklahoma schools—including serving as Curriculum Director and Dean of Academic Programs at Le Monde International School, a public charter in Norman, Oklahoma.
Her career spans classroom teaching, curriculum design, educator training, academic programming, and student success initiatives. From overseeing school-wide assessments to implementing innovative teaching strategies, Monica is known for her ability to build systems that uplift both students and educators. Her work with Oklahoma City Community College’s TRIO Services also reflects her deep commitment to supporting low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students in achieving their educational goals.
Monica’s approach is rooted in compassion, cultural understanding, and an unwavering belief in the power of education to transform lives. Her leadership at OCE helps ensure that every initiative remains grounded in what truly matters: empowering students, supporting teachers, and creating a more equitable future for all.
